My Opportunities

Hii everyone!! In this blog I am going to share the opportunity that I got in my life to play football.
To empower women in Goa SESA and GFA for the last 3yrs are organising Vedanta Women's league to empower women through football. It was a good and a huge step that was taken to empower women. It was started with a grand opening ceremony. Vedanta is the sponsorer for this league. It was started in 2017. During first edition there were total 9 teams. For the first and second edition I played for flaming orange team also known as Sporting Club De Goa team. We had a very good team  and really enjoyed the first and second edition of Vedanta Women's League.
The third edition was this year that is 2019. This year the teams were changed. In the third edition I played for PVC club and we finished 3rd in the table. We were given jersey, short, transport, allowance, refreshment. The management of PVC club very good and always treated us lika a family.
I feel that tournament like this is a good opportunity for me as well as other women's who are passionate about football to showcase their talent. I wish that GFA and SESA bring more opportunity for women's and hope that this league continue as we the women football players are always waiting for the opportunity to play football.

The team was to be representing fir All Indian Woman Football tournament. After practicing for so many days the dates of going for West Zone matches arrived. So now the question was which Higher Secondary to choose with my first priority to continuing my football journey. So I admitted my self in St. Xavier Higher Secondary school which is one of the best Higher Secondaries in Goa with Excellency in almost all fields be it in Acadamics or sports. There in 11th std I got the second chance of participating in nationals and that to Subroto Cup. Once again we were in Delhi. It is year of practice and hardwork that makes you perfect in a particular field and so it was with me. After playing for so many years as left defence. It had made me excel at that position but during my second national my position was changed as a result I was not able to perform well but still I tried my best. We lost our first  match was against Tamil Nadu. During second match I was shifted back at my original ...

During this time, GFDC a new council for the development of football which is Goa's state sport was started all over Goa with the aim of sharpening the skills of young footballers. I was part of Moira GFDC. GFDC along with training used to also provide football kit like shoes, jersey, jacket, shock, etc. So those children who were unable to afford it also started joining.
